Sherwood Greenlaw Parish Church
Rainbows is a pre-Brownie organisation, open to girls of five and over. The meetings are full of games and activities which provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves and take an active part in unit decision making.
Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop – it is an opportunity to look, learn, laugh and love.
Sherwood Greenlaw Rainbows meet on a Thursday evening in the church hall.
Further information can be obtained from Mrs Marjory Crae, via the Church office.
The Rainbow Promise
Rainbows make this simple promise that they share with members around the world:
I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.
It is hard to believe that by the time you read this there will only be a few weeks of the session 2018/19 left to go.
The last few months have been busy for the girls. We have had a few games nights and made gifts for our mothers. Due to the school holidays and Easter week we have only had one meeting in April.
Our final meeting of the session is 16th May 2019 at 6.30pm. Please feel free to come along and help us celebrate the end of another session.
Although we have several girls eligible to move on to Brownies we already have a substantial waiting list. Spaces are allocated on a 'first come first served' basis. It is therefore important that anyone who is interested in having their daughter join Rainbows logs on to the Parents' section of the Girlguiding website and registers their interest in our unit (3rd East Paisley). Please note that to be eligible for a place the child must be 5 years old. Anyone under 5 will be added to a waiting list.
The leadership team and the girls would like to thank you for your continued support of the unit.
On a personal note I would like to thank the other leaders and helpers who give of their time freely to make sure the girls have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience at Rainbows.
