Junior Church

Junior Church

Junior Church meets every Sunday morning during the morning service at 11am from mid August until mid June.

Within Junior Church there are various classes to accommodate all children from age 3 to Primary 7, Quest is available for children who are at secondary school.  For children from birth to age 3 a creche is available.

Within Junior Church we use the Spill the Beans material which allows the children to cover the same biblical themes as the main church service.  Junior Church provides children to explore the Bible and learn about how God plays a part in their lives today.  At Junior Church there is an opportunity for children to meet friends, play games, do crafts and have great fun while learning about Jesus’ love for them.  We also encourage the children’s participation in worship during family services.  .

Throughout the year we have various activities for the children including days or evenings out, we work together with the children to decide what they want to do for these events and work closely with Quest our teenager group also.

If you are interested in coming along to Junior Church or would want any more information about Junior Church please email the church, phone or contact us on Facebook.

Junior Church is not only our church of the future, it is our church of the present.

Over the last few weeks the children of Junior Church have been very busy.  In December Junior Church held a Christmas Charity stall where the children sold some items that they made.  The stall raised £238.61 which was a fantastic amount and will be divided between Accord, Scottish SPCA animal welfare charity, Trussell Trust and Meningitis Research Foundation.  These charities were chosen by the children, the children all highlighted charities that they wanted to support as individuals and then after discussion reduced the list to four.  The Trussell Trust (food bank) was particularly requested by the younger children.

Over the next few weeks we will discuss the work of these charities; this will help the children understand how charities work and the importance of helping and supporting others.

Many thanks for your continued support of Junior Church
